About the MUN Mentors Club

Empowering the next generation of global leaders through Model United Nations.

Our Mission

MUN Mentors Club team was founded in 2013 by Mr. Dominic Trevino in Mission Viejo, CA. He is currently semi-retired and focusing his attention on MUN and this club team. Mr. Trevino has been active in MUN activities since 1980. He began as a 9th grade student at Laguna Beach High School, moved on to U.C. Santa Barbara where he helped to lead the UCSB MUN Club team from 1984 to 1988. From there he established the MUN Club at U.C. Irvine in 1990. He has been actively teaching about MUN since becoming a Secondary teacher in 1993.  He has travelled to China, Europe, and all across the United States leading student delegations to conferences. He has been involved in the establishment of many school programs, clubs, and conferences. Currently, he is also advising the Saddleback College MUN Team. Mr. Trevino has done and been involved in every level and aspect of MUN that exists. MUN Mentors Club is dedicated to helping Secondary school students develop the skills they need to excel in Model United Nations — from crafting compelling position papers to delivering confident speeches on the floor

We believe that every student has the potential to become an effective communicator, critical thinker, and collaborative leader. Our mentoring provides personalized guidance to help delegates reach their full potential.

What We Do

Conference Preparation

We help delegates research their country, understand committee topics, and write strong position papers before each conference.

Public Speaking Coaching

From opening speeches to unmoderated caucuses, we coach students on how to speak with clarity and confidence.

Strategy & Diplomacy

We teach the art of negotiation, diplomacy, and Resolution/Amendment writing so delegates can lead on the floor.
